BOOKKEEPER:

‍The Northshire Rescue Squad is seeking a skilled bookkeeper to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.

High school graduate or equivalent
Must be minimum of eighteen (18) years of age
No minimum field experience necessary

Licensure/Certification

1. Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) (volunteer only)      
      A) Qualify for Vermont State Licensure
      B) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate
      2. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)      
      A) Minimum of Vermont State certification and NREMT certification      
      B) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
3. Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT)      
      A) Qualify for Vermont State Licensure
      B) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
4. Paramedic      
      A) Minimum NREMT Paramedic and QualifIcation for Vermont State Licensure
      B) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification      
      C) ACLS, PALS certifications

Other Requirements

1. Demonstrated evidence of proficiency in the required ALS and BLS skills per certification level - must have thorough current knowledge of medical/traumatic assessments, treatment and protocols

2. Valid motor vehicle operator’s license that is not under suspension or revocation
‍
3. Completed Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC), (CVO) or complete within one (1) year of membership
‍
4. Certified in HAZ-MAT awareness or equivalent or obtain certification within one (1) year of membership
‍
5. IC 100, IC 200, IC 700 certification or obtained within one (1) year of membership
‍
6. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with fellow members, hospital staffs, Fire Departments, Rescue Squads, Police Departments, communication centers, management, neighboring EMS Agencies, and the general public.
‍
7. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
‍
8. Must be able to handle conflict situations with good judgment, professionalism and courtesy
‍
9. Must have a working knowledge of the physical layout of street systems, and demographics of Manchester Rescue Squad, Inc. coverage area
‍
10. Must be able to provide a minimum of 24 hours of coverage per month

Medical Examination

As part of MRS's membership procedures, an applicant may be required to undergo a pre-membership medical examination and physical test.

New Member Orientation Program

During your first few months of membership, you will participate in an orientation process conducted by the COO and various mentors.
